Nonrandom Objects from the Quantum Beyond*
New Scientist used the next to last photo in October 2012 as a metaphoric image for the story “Photon reaches from beyond the grave in quantum trick,” with the caption “We can only imagine Einstein’s horror at an experiment in which a pair of photons that never coexisted still become entangled.”
Because, although the photography is in the very slick, minimalist, ‘shiny stuff seen as abstractions’ style – which is by now kind of pedestrian – there’s something that resonates.here.
It’s not as random aesthetically as it seems to be intellectually.
